Luxe for Less

This season, there are many mass retailers trying to bring luxe to the masses. Kohls has hired Vera Wang to create an exclusive line for them titled Simply Vera by Vera Wang. This collection showcases Vera's greatest hits (minus the wedding dresses!!). It features muted colors such as browns and creams, classic shapes, and pretty patterns used on dresses and the like. As we all know Target has become a frontrunner in this trend. They have had the likes of Issac Mizrahi, Erin Fetherston, and the people behind Libertine design amazing clothes for their customers, now they have the legendary brand Loeffler Randall there. The line consists of cream, brown, black, and the occassional metallic ballet flat or satchel. Walmart is getting in on the action to. It is rumored that the retail gargantuan is in the middle of signing deals with big companies such as Op and L.E.I. If this deal goes through, Walmart will definetely be making a splash in the designer retail field, and as you know, we here at Retro Splash, love doing so!
